Ed, on the right side (sitting on the bike) towards the front of the engine case you will find thee allen screws in a triangle pattern. Remove these to get to your oil filter. Also when you change your oil it will take exactly two quarts and 4 ounces of oil. When you change your filter there will be two rubber o-rings. Some people say to replace them every time some say that you can use them over again. Just be careful when you remove the filter so you can reassemble with everything in the right place. John
